Successful candidates must complete the Organisation Suitability Assessment prior to commencement. Job Description ASD is seeking Senior Infrastructure Engineers to design, implement and manage secure cloud and hosted infrastructure supporting mission critical digital services. These roles are responsible for administering Microsoft Azure environments, developing Infrastructure as Code, implementing policy driven data protection, and ensuring high availability and multi region resilience across ASD platforms. Engineers will work closely with product owners, architects and cloud providers to deliver secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure solutions. Duties and Responsibilities • Manage and administer Microsoft Azure cloud environments including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, governance and security • Design, develop and implement high availability, multi region Azure solutions • Analyse operational standards, processes and governance to identify improvements • Develop Infrastructure as Code using cloud native tools for automated deployments • Implement policy driven data protection practices to safeguard cloud solutions • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are transformed and modernised • Ensure infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards • Contribute to infrastructure implementation, management and retirement across physical, virtual, networking and cloud environments Education/Certifications Required • Extensive experience in hosted services environments including hardware, software, virtualisation and storage • Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking • Experience designing and managing Azure cloud environments • Experience developing IaC and automated deployment pipelines Knowledge/Skills Required • Strong technical background across hosted and cloud infrastructure • Experience with Azure provisioning, governance, monitoring and security • Experience designing multi region, high availability cloud architectures • Strong understanding of data protection, backup and disaster recovery practices • Experience developing IaC using cloud native tools • Strong capability in performance and capacity management • Ability to work within secure, high assurance environments • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Employment Benefits • Long term engagement within a mission critical national security environment • Opportunity to work with advanced cloud and infrastructure technologies • Professional development across high assurance platforms • Contribution to ASD's national security mission • Potential for contract extensions up to 36 months total Diversity and Inclusion We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
