About this role

• 6 + 6-month contract – Baseline clearance • Brisbane CBD QLD or ACT or NSW • Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, infrastructure transformation Our client, a Federal Government department based in Brisbane CBD, QLD, that focuses on economic independence for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, requires the services of a senior BCP Business Analyst for a 6 + 6 month contract. Duties of the BCP Business Analyst: • Conduct discovery, impact assessment and business analysis activities across the project lifecycle with primary emphasis on Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and supporting infrastructure decommissioning and archiving projects. • Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements for BCP and for decommissioning and archiving. • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement. • Develop process maps, use cases, business requirements documentation with strong emphasis on BCP and infrastructure transition processes. • Support solution design, requirements traceability, and alignment with organisational resilience, risk management, records management, and federal government standards. • Assist with testing and validation activities, including defining acceptance criteria, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), BCP plan testing, and decommissioning validation. • Support business case development. • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities. • Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices, standards, and tools. Skills and Experience -BCP Business Analyst: Technical skills • Demonstrated experience delivering Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, infrastructure transformation, or server decommissioning projects. • Strong understanding of Microsoft Server technologies, analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in Business Continuity Planning and/or infrastructure projects (decommissioning, data migration, archiving). • Experience undertaking impact and dependency analysis for legacy systems and server retirement initiatives.
