Job Description The position requires a hands-on engineer who can operate independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role offers flexibility depending on technical strengths, with a strong emphasis on improving security posture and capability maturity. Duties and Responsibilities • Manage SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk, including onboarding, health checks, patching and maintenance • Perform security engineering across endpoint, network and gateway technologies • Assist with incident response using enterprise security tooling • Provide security engineering advice to internal stakeholders • Develop and uplift security operations system requirements Education / Certifications required • Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology or Engineering • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, Splunk or vendor-equivalent are highly regarded Knowledge / Skills required • Strong experience in Security Engineering or Security Operations with a hands-on focus • Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms such as Splunk • Knowledge of EDR, device control and application control technologies (e.g. Trellix, Carbon Black) • Familiarity with vulnerability management tools • Understanding of MFA, IAM and Privileged Access Management solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust Employment benefits • Opportunity to work on mission-critical national security programs • Access to cutting-edge cyber security technologies • Career progression • Collaborative and high-performing engineering environment Diversity and Inclusion Cleared is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
