• 12 + 12 + 12 month contract • NV1 Security Clearance Required • Canberra + Hybrid WFH Our client, Australia's national policing agency responsible for investigating Commonwealth offences, protecting national security and combating serious crime, are seeking the experience of multiple Procurement Specialists (EL1 & EL2) . Duties of the Procurement Specialists • Provide flexible & scalable procurement capability to respond effectively to fluctuating workload demands; • Support the timely delivery of procurement activities, contributing to improved outcomes & in support of organisational priorities; • Enhance workforce sustainability by complementing internal capacity & enabling a balanced distribution of work; • Strengthen the quality, consistency, & defensibility of procurement processes & documentation; • Promote strong compliance with CPRs & internal frameworks, reinforcing assurance & audit readiness; • Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices; • Facilitate knowledge sharing & capability uplift, contributing to continuous improvement. Skills required for the EL1 Procurement Advisor • 4+ years’ procurement experience in government; • Strong background in complex or specialised procurements; • Ability to lead complex, sensitive, or high‐risk procurements; • Ability to provide strategic procurement advice & planning to senior stakeholders; • Capable of developing Spending Proposals & other relevant documentation; • Ability to lead negotiations & manage complex stakeholder environments; • Ability to ensure procurement activities are defensible & audit‐ready; Skills Required for the EL2 Specialist / SME Procurement Advisor • Extensive procurement experience in a specialist area, e.g., ICT, construction, medical, etc; • Proven ability to provide specialist procurement & planning advice or assurance services; • Ability to support & review complex procurement strategies & documentation; • Experience leading & advising specialised negotiations; • Proven ability to provide probity, compliance, or risk management advice; • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues or disputes.
