Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst - SIEM, IAM

A high-security Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst to support critical cyber security operations within a secure environment. The role will focus on monitoring security alerts, investigating potential cyber incidents, supporting incident response activities, and contributing to cyber threat intelligence and threat modelling outcomes. The successful Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst will be offered an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options , with onsite working arrangements. The Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to: • Monitoring incoming alert queues for potential security incidents • Performing initial investigation, analysis and triage of alerts • Documenting findings within incident management platforms • Maintaining use-case playbooks, checklists and analyst Standard Operating Procedures • Monitoring SIEM log health and reporting variations outside normal levels The Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst will have experience in the following: • Experience in SOC operations, cyber threat analysis and intrusion detection • Proficiency in the use of SIEM technologies • Ability to interpret log data from multiple technologies including IAM, endpoint detection, firewalls and web proxies • Experience performing alert triage, investigation and incident response support • Demonstrated understanding of threat intelligence, threat assessment and threat modelling This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior SOC Analyst / Cyber Threat Analyst looking to join a long-term Federal Government cyber program.
