• Exciting opportunity within a Federal Government agency! • 3-year contract!! • Lucrative Hourly rates $$ A leading Federal Government agency is seeking a Senior VMware Subject Matter Expert (SME) / VMware Specialist to join a high-performing team. This critical role will support the delivery and maintenance of secure, scalable, and resilient on-premise infrastructure solutions, contributing to the protection of Australia’s national interests. The successful VMware SME will be offered an initial 12-month contract partnered with 2 x 12-month extension options at a lucrative hourly rate. The successful VMware SME will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: • Deliver, administer, and maintain on-premise platforms. • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and system issues. • Monitor system performance, security events, and capacity. • Implement automation for routine administration tasks. • Plan and execute infrastructure updates and maintenance. • Ensure operational documentation and procedures are current. • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve platform capabilities. The successful VMware SME must have experience in the following: • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in VMware and related infrastructure technologies. • Strong technical expertise in on-premise environments. • Proven ability to manage complex systems. • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting for system administration. • Understanding of risk management, security compliance, and best practices.
