Learn more about our network here: https://www.schn.health.nsw.gov.au/ Employment Type : Temporary Remuneration : Public Hospital Medical Officers (State) Award (Registrar Year 1 - Year 4) Hours Per Week : 38 Requisition ID : CAM30190 The Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Unaccredited Trainee position at The Children's Hospital at Westmead (CHW) is available for the 2027 Clinical Year, from 01 February 2027 to 06 February 2028. The position provides training in theory, clinical skills, teaching, surgery and related research in the field of Paediatric Orthopaedics. The Trainee is responsible for providing optimal care for children and adolescents with orthopaedic disorders. The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is a tertiary referral centre within The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and the largest paediatric hospital in NSW. Selection Criteria • MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia. • Minimum three years postgraduate experience. • Experience in Orthopaedics at Basic Surgical Trainee level. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals. • Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff. • Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritisation and problem solving.
