Employment Type : Permanent Part Time Position Classification : Wardsperson Remuneration : $32.50 - $32.73 Per Hour + Super Hours Per Week : 8 Requisition ID : REQ680765 Location : Werris Creek Community Hospital Closing Date : Thursday 06 August 2026 We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Patient Support Assistant to join our friendly team at a small country Multi-Purpose Service (MPS), providing high-quality care to our aged care and palliative residents. As part of our close-knit team, you'll play an essential role in supporting residents, patients, families and carers in a welcoming rural healthcare environment. About the Role Reporting to the Health Service Manager (HSM), you'll be responsible for a variety of patient care and support services, including: • Assisting with patient lifting, transfers, personal care and hygiene. • Providing cleaning services in line with infection prevention and control standards, including terminal cleaning and linen management. • Maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies, including checking and replacing ward oxygen cylinders. • Supporting patient transfers, portering duties and the collection and delivery of pharmacy items and clinical waste. • Assisting with patient flow and contributing to a safe, clean and efficient healthcare environment. • Completing cleaning documentation and adhering to Workplace Health and Safety requirements. • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient care.
